Book Review: A Classic for Highly Motivated Students of Spanish
Summary: 5 Stars
A classic is defined as a work that endures. Madrigal's successive editions of this book since 1989 have proven it to be a classic.
Any book, though, no matter how good it is, still requires the student to be seriously engaged in study. As a professor, there is nothing sadder (and often infuriating) than hearing student complain at the end of a semester that a "C" just isn't "fair... after all, I bought all the books."
So, buy this book, work with it. The Pimsleur recordings are also classics! Repitition is the key.
There are three areas that seem to never be treated enough in textbooks, due to space limitations. Textbooks never have enough exercises nor are their answer keys usually satifying. For depth, specialized books are out there!
