Book Review: A very well written book

This is an excellent 200 page informative booklet that complements rather well the maufacturer's manual. My first impressions that it was just a rework were rapidly replaced when I realised not only was I beginning to know a lot more about the camera, but also about digital photography itself. Desite using digital cameras for over 7 years I constantly found myself saying either 'I didn't know that',or 'so that is why .. happens'.
The expanation on RAW files has been enough to win me over to that format. Explanations about using the histogram, exposure controls, and focusing controls are excellent and showed that I did not understand these settings as much as I thought!
Finally although rarely critical you do not get the impression that the author is wedded to the Sony Corporation. I particularly liked the strong worded caution about attempting to clean the sensor - I now have no intention of going there!
Why not 5 stars? Simply because the book binding is not very strong, and I suspect I will have loose pages before the month is out!
