Book Reviews of Making FacesBook Review: nice work---no substance Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this when it first came out and returned it because the book doesn't live up to how it was promoted at that time: This is NOT a text book and will teach nothing about how to apply make-up. It does have good pictures of excellent work done on famous people and it give s brief biography of Mr. Aucoin, but it makes no attempt to explain how and why he did what he did. It is a nice portfolio but not a text book. Go to Mary Quant or Bobbie Brown for that.
Book Review: very helpful with a wide variety Summary: 5 Stars
i loved this book, i've been doind makeup professionally for years and found that i was getting into a rut and giving everyone the same look so I cought this for ideas and it has been awesome! I love to just open it in the morning and try a new style. I'll mix and match looks to customize but it's been great to have new ideas
Book Review: wonderful Summary: 5 Stars
i'm a 15 year old girl and before i got this book, makeup wasn't a priority. Not that i was a feminist it's just that i was a complete idiot when it came to make up, but after reading this book,i can't wait to do my makeup in the morning . i saw that it was so easy and that you didn't need an unbelievable amount of makeup to pull of a look, less is more. i do my friends make up before dances, and i am i make up junkie (CVS and Target baby). all i have to say is thank you soooooo much Kevyn!! this book is a must for every female.
Book Review: wounderfull Summary: 5 Stars
as a 15 year old girl, i am just starting to get into makeup. this book has really helped me to know the right way to apply it, the right places to put it, and the different techniques that would be healthy for my skin. This book is made for all different styles, face shapes, skin tones, age groups etc.
i found that its very easy to follow and i would recommend this book to anyone
