Kevyn Aucoin's book is so very interesting, just to see what can be done. Then if you want, how to do it. His personal attitude about makeup and life is so right-on. (to coin an old, but apt phrase) I love the way he invites people to spurn the fashion nazi's, and encourage people to be and look how they want. He ranges from the sweet natural look to the avant-gard all with instructions and photos. Many including a before and after, and diagrams. Great ideas to try. Fun just to even look through and marvel at.Book Review: any woman can be made up to look beautiful..

.. is what I got from this book. Before and after pics of women who are, without make up, between borderline ugly and downright oh-my-good ugly, made up to look WOW! Other pictures, especially full page ones of celebs are wonderful, but not as impressive, cuz making up beautiful women to look beautiful is somehing a number of people can do. I doubt there will ever be someone as good as Kevyn. He was one of a kind who worked magic. Do you think Cher or Julia would trust their make up to just anyone? The photos in here are brilliant and his talent shows through with each and every page. You can learn some tricks by reading this, but even if you think you do a good enough job on your face yourself, this is worth buying if only to see some of his work. I live in Brazil and I've brought a copy from the USA,after coming across it in a jewelery store. I really love looking at it again and again from time to time! I've tried many looks in the book and they really work!The book contains lots of completely different 'wearable' and up-to-date ideas with step-by-step instructions that are hard to miss!Make-up's not basic but anyone can follow, and look great!
These days, after researching for long here at Amazon.com I imported 'Makeup Makeovers', but it has nothing to do! I think there is no other one as good as this one is, not even the other one from Kevin as far as I've read!Everybody should have one, I really advocate for that!
