Book Review: Promising but Disappointing

"Manifest Your Destiny" is much like a retread of Dyer's earlier works with some useful information repeated. I was disappointed to learn that Dyer takes credit for a moral fable that has appeared in other venues for a couple of decades now, and that being the tale of finding a number of fish on the beach and tossing them back into the water. A passerby notices and tells him there's too many and that what he's doing won't make a difference. As he tosses a fish back, he says "It'll make a difference to this one!" I was offended by the fact that he takes credit for this old story and it led me to suspect he wasn't being as honest in other parts of his book because of it. I've no doubt most of what he suggests in order to manifest one's destiny is true, but I don't think telling untruths should play a part in it.
