Book Review: Most enjoyable Christmas collection ever!

Raul does it all on this cd. Beautifully reverent in his rendition of "Silent Night" and 'Ill Be Home For Christmas", a delightfully danceable and sort of schizophrenic "Silver Bells", fun,sexy and swinging in every other cut! His voice has no equal...no one else sounds this good time after time.
Great band backing him up too! Officially my favorite Christmas album. Play it several times a day!!! No matter if it is still a ways til Christmas...one can never tire of his voice and these great songs!

I bought Marshmallow World because Raul's voice is simply amazing and I thought his Christmas CD would be an excellent addition to my Christmas collection. I was right!! I love Christmas music and have at least a couple of hundred holiday CD's. The combination of Raul Malo's fabulous voice & unique presentations of these Christmas classics makes this one my all-time favorite! If you're lucky enough to have Raul Malo visit your town with his Christmas show - GO - I guarantee you will not be disappointed! Hurry up - add "Marshmallow World & Other Holiday Favorites" to your collection if you love Christmas music like I do. You, your family & friends will enjoy it for years to come!

Raul Malo has a superb, very strong voice, but it is not put to his full potential in this laid back Christmas Album.
Orchestration is fair - vocals are very disappointing. The title WinterWonderland is done by whistling for about 1 minute and then ends.
One of the other tracks, the background arrangement seems like the chords are from the old song Mexican Hat Dance. With such a strong voice, this album was very disappointing. His true vocal talents are not put to good use.
