Book Review: Awesome guide

I bought this book at the International Builders' Show in Orlando, Florida. I was glued to it from the moment I picked it up. This book is a great resource for anyone contemplating building a green home, but unsure where to start. It covers the basics behind green building theory, without overwhelming the reader in technical detail. All the information is well presented, and you really get a good grasp on what is involved in the process.
All the plans are beautifully drawn, and presented in a clear and concise manner. What's more, all the plans presented, when purchased from Mascord, come detailed and ready to build to nationally recognised standards, which sure makes building our home easier!
The foreword to the book was written by Sarah Susanka, who also wrote the Not-So-Big-House series of books. Sarah has done some amazing work with regards to sustainable building practices, and I'm sure she would not put her name to a project that she did not deem worthy. Indeed, her foreword talks of furhter collaboration with Alan Mascord on some of his home design projects. I hope they publish those soon, I can't wait!
