Book Reviews of Mass Effect: Revelation

Book Review: Good book
Summary: 4 Stars

Probably not best-seller material, but it's a good read if you're curious about the backstory of Mass Effect. It fills in a lot of holes that the game doesn't really address. Worth the buy.

Book Review: Good book from a game writer
Summary: 4 Stars

Very interesting setting and story. However, there are a lot of chapters that are predictive and they lack on depth.
It was a very interesting book and the trama keeps you on wanting to know more, the writer might need to polish the writtng style, but overall, good book.

Book Review: Good intro to the game
Summary: 4 Stars

This is a good prelude to the 360 game. My question is how do all the aliens know how to speak English? I love sci-fi, but I also love explanation!

Book Review: Good introduction to a highly anticipated game.
Summary: 4 Stars

Provides a great picture of how the galaxy of Mass Effect functions and paints an excellent picture of the enemies and races that you will interact with in the upcoming game. Highly recommended if you want to understand everything and know some of the characters' backgrounds when you first play Mass Effect.

Book Review: Good introduction to the Mass Effect Universe
Summary: 4 Stars

As the game finally is coming to PC I decided to first buy the book. The book is a great introduction to the Mass Effect universe, the alien races, the locales, the history of how humanity fits into the picture. The story is pretty straightforward fare about good vs bad but everyone seems to have their own agenda nevertheless.
If you are purely after a great sci-fi story you might want to look elsewhere as this isn't exactly the most fascinating sci-fi story but if you plan to play Mass Effect then I can certainly recommend this book.

I will certainly be getting the second book once I have played the game.
The whole concept of adding a book into a gaming franchise with the aim of immersing you into the overall story you is a great idea!
