Book Reviews of Master of the GameBook Review: Guilty pleasure Summary: 3 Stars
This book is a guilty pleasure. It reads like an 80s primetime soap such as Dynasty or Dallas. Not bad, but not good. An evil twin for crying out loud? Gimme a break. But I finished it anyway and the ending was a (slight) twist. I'd give it 3 1/2 stars if I could.
Book Review: Have you ever strolled down the streets of Klipdrift? Summary: 5 Stars
Tired of reading works that are just too drawn out? Then cast your weary eyes to the works of Sidney Sheldon. For starters, take an adventurous stroll down the streets of the African diamond town of Klipdrift in Master of the Game. It is the tale of how a young Scot, Jamie MacGregor journeys to Africa in search of diamonds. His ambitions are eclipsed only to be taken over by his loving yet manipulative daughter Elizabeth. All of her father's ambitions have trickled down to her, and she in turn makes a name for herself on a world wide scale. In no way is this a run-of-the-mill rags to riches, smut novel. O HO, on the contrary there is plenty for your eyes and mind to feast on as Sheldon spins his threads. You may think you know what the story's all about, but I assure you that Sheldon will show you a new twist at every turn. Master of the Game is a rich brew of ambition, sex, and manipulation that will have you begging for another glass of vintage Sheldon
Book Review: Here's a dare for you. Summary: 5 Stars
Pick up this book...get comfortable, and start reading it. Let's see you put it down...if you can, once you've started. Anyone who dismisses this novel as anything but a fantastic, first-rate read truly doesn't know a good book when they see one. This is a timeless classic...
Book Review: His most exciting and outstanding book Summary: 5 Stars
This book kept my attention from the first page to the last. I feel there was a lot of imagination and a very good story line that keeps you captivated. I have recommended this book to many people who agree that this is one of, if not the best book they have read.
Book Review: I'VE DIED AND GONE TO HEAVEN!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I have read every Sidney Sheldon novel and this book has put the rest to shame. I loved Jamie and felt his pain and pleasures. I loved how the book followed Kate through her life and made you feel as though you were part of their "secret lives". Thank you Sidney Sheldon, I shall never read another book that makes me feel the way I do when I read Master of the Game.
