Book Reviews of Max The Mighty

Book Review: Hated this book, definately a big NOT!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

This book is great. It is about a kid that lives with his grandparents and he meets a suspicious girl. When my friend Alex told me this was a great book, I didn't beieve him. It definately was. Talk about being scared, filled with action and excitement all at the same time. I finished it the first day. It is for all ages to enjoy.

READ THIS BOOK or else you will be missing out!!!

Book Review: ITS 5 Stars

Well it all began with Freak the Mighty. But then, Freak died. Max hardly could move on. He became Max the Mighty. Suddenly a girl nicknamed Worm comes along and they're out on an adventure. Fleeing from the cops, hitchhiking rides, all just to find one man. Worms Dad. Will they suceed? Or not. Read the book to find out!

Book Review: It's a great read - aloud for ages 11 and up!
Summary: 5 Stars

Max the Mighty is an excellent book about courage and wisdom. The relationship between Max and Bookworm will warm your heart. I highly recommend this book for the average reader who claims "there's nothing good to read."

Book Review: Jared Review
Summary: 3 Stars

The book Max the Mighty by Rodman Philbrick is a great book with the great characters. Max, an over 6-foot teenager who helps Rachel; Rachel, a girl who loves books; Grim, Max's grandpa; Gram, Max's grandma; Dippy Hippy, the man who saves Max and Rachel; and the Undertaker, Rachel's evil stepfather.

Max and Rachel go on this big adventure to Chivalry, Montana (not a real town) to find her real dad. Rachel's mom wants Max to take Rachel, because Rachel's evil stepfather beats up Rachel's mom, and she doesn't want Rachel to get hurt. He drives a hearse and he is pretty creepy.

My opinion of this book is that it is a good book, but you would need to read Freak the Mighty to understand some things Rodman Philbrick refers to. I would recommend this book to someone who likes a lot of action and adventure because there is always a new adventure, like when Max and Rachel get on Dippy Hippy's bus and travel around and meet new people.

I think this book's theme is courage because when Max needs to take Rachel and go somewhere, that would take a lot of courage to do. I liked this book because it was written very well. I learned from this book that friendship can be more important than you think it is. In conclusion I think this book was good, but I think Freak the Mighty was better than Max the Mighty at some parts.
