Me of Little Faith by Lewis Black Summary and Reviews
Book Reviews of Me of Little FaithBook Review: Where's the trademark Lewis Black ire?
Lewis Black takes very few chances in this rather mild look at religious belief. Sticking with the relatively safe targets of Christianity, Judaism, and Mormonism, while avoiding anything that might really cause a problem for him (Islam, anyone?) he treads ground that's been pretty much covered. It's also hard to take seriously any commentary criticizing organized religion in a book that also has a chapter about his friend with "psychic ability" that is meant to be taken seriously. There are some funny sections, but my disappointment with Black's inability to commit wholeheartedly to his topic left me more disappointed than amused. |
