Book Review: "MEAN STREETS" I part good 3/4 so so
Summary: 3 Stars
Jim Butcher's story keeps to his style of writing. He is a good writer and I will read all that he writes. The only problem is Butcher's characters in the later books of the Dresdon Files series. I feel there is now unappropriate and sometimes graphic swearing which is continuing into his newer books. He could loose his younger readers.
In one of his final books in the Dresdon Files he says to Murphy "Get on the bike bitch" and it's accepted. Not something Dresden would ever say. We know Butcher is a good writer so therefore why the language change. This seems so unlike Jim Butcher. He always keeps to his form of writing.
The other writers in Mean Streets did not stay with the same genre from other books I have read of theirs. I give Butcher a 4 star. The book as a whole a 3*** star which is dissappointing.
I had to write this fast so overlook my errors.
