Book Review: OK Clawhammer tunes

This book of old time clawhammer tunes is OK. The author provides the tunes in three forms: standard music notation, basic and advanced tablature. The concept is fine but the application is confusing. Rather than have the song's music printed in three distinct and separate forms, the songs have a single line of standard music notation followed by a single line of basic tablature and then a single line of advanced tablature. This is followed then by succeeding lines of standard, basic, advanced music notation. When reading the basic tablature your eye naturally drops to the next line. Unfortunately, that line is a repeat of the line you just read, except in advanced tablature. In order to continue with the basic tablature, you must drop down three lines of music to continue with the basic tablature. To me it's unecessarily difficult. Otherwise, there are some great old time tunes contained in this collection.
