I was skeptical about purchasing a book to learn Irish fiddle. I didn't think anyone could teach you the fiddle without actually showing you what to do, but this book surprised me. It's very detailed with it's explanations and they are easy to follow. Some of the songs are really fun to learn, and you get the sheet music to all of them. A bonus that I did not get with the DVDs I ordered. The book also taught me more in regard to slurs, doublestops, runs etc. than the two DVDs I've purchased. I'm very pleased with it.
