Book Reviews of Men Still Think With Their Clubs: The hot diary of a horny cave chickBook Review: Easy to read and a hoot to boot Summary: 5 Stars
This is delightfully different! It's both a fun and exceptionally funny read. The book is about a cavewoman and her (over 100!) cavemen lovers. The premise behind it is that men are still making the same mistakes with women that they made a million years ago. And boy, does this book make it appear to be true! Reputed to have been originally written on clay tablets and now coverted into this book, it's the year-long diary of a lusty cavewoman named Ooba. It chronicles the bawdy adventures of Ooba and an amusing parade of caveman suitors and thoughtless oafs that she both encounters and endures. Though supposedly written a million years ago, I think every "modern woman" who reads this book will definitely recognize a few similar suitors and like experiences in her own love life. It seems men really haven't changed that much in the last million years! But, hope springs eternal! Admittedly, the book is a little raunchy, as is Ooba, but it's well-written (Ooba was quite pithy) and hysterically funny. I read the entire book in one sitting (and I've re-read parts of it many, many times since then.) I laugh out loud every time. Since it's written in diary form, it's easy to just read a few pages (days) at a time, too. I think Ooba's brazen honesty will have many women secretly wishing we could be a bit more like her. Overall, I think the book offers hilarious, thought-provoking insights and clever, perceptive observations about men, women, sex, and the dating problems experienced by any woman with taste.
