Book Reviews of Midnight in the Garden of Good and EvilBook Review: Just brilliant Summary: 5 StarsThe most creative of novelists wouldn't be able to come up with a stranger story or more fascinating characters than those found (and beautifully narrated) by John Berendt. This is a truly fascinating book that proves Ted Turner was right: there's nothing more interesting than real life. And for my next vacation I'm booking a trip to Savannah...
Book Review: WEIRD BUT GOOD Summary: 4 StarsI really liked this book. Some of the characters were a bit weird but I liked the story, and it was a good read. Much better than the movie. It makes you want to go visit Savannah and I like this guys style of writing.
Book Review: Good Read Summary: 5 StarsVacationed in Savannah a few months ago, and all they talked about was "The Book", so I had to read it. Great story. Would recommend.
Book Review: One of the best books ever written (The movie is not better) Summary: 5 StarsWhat a bizzare story. I have only met one person who did not like this book. Every other person I met that has read this book said it is one of the best books ever and I agree. The characters are colorful, the plot is bizzare and the out come you did not see coming. I recomend this book highly. A story based on fact will make you want to go to Georgia and visit Old Savannah since the author has a great flair for describing the entire setting of the story along with the court trials.
If you find the beginning of the story off to a slow start, stick with it because you are in for a ride. You will be cheering for the characters and you to will be saying "This is one of the best books ever written."
Book Review: The Movie was Better! Summary: 2 StarsWow I could not help but get bored reading this book. It went off in so many different directions. Stick with the movie, it makes more sense and is easier to follow.
