Book Review: Captivating cover art; refreshing storyline

Jackie is an editor at a publishing house specializing in romance novels. After getting dumped via email by her long-time boyfriend Jerry, she goes on a quest to serial date until she can find a new man in her life to take his place.
She dates just about every Tom, Dick and Harry with some very hilarious results, while sounding off on her dating misfortunes with her girlfriends. The one male voice of reason, Jerry's best friend, Andrew, suddenly becomes more appealing to Jackie as she continues her quest for fulfillment... then Jerry re-enters the picture, and she is in a tailspin all over again.
Yes, Jackie is very self absorbed. But that is one of the things that makes her mis-adventures so humorous and poignant. The author really manages to capture her manic and emotional behavior.
The ambiguous ending, left me wanting one just more chapter. But I am finding this a common practice in the Chick Lit movement.

Milkrun is the perfect read for anyone who loves the Chick Lit genre. The main character Jackie is funny and easy to relate to, as we follow her in her life after break up. Poor Jackie dumped - via email - is in a dating dry spell, and we are along for the ride. Funny. Real. Highly Recommended. Mlynowski is an author I will deff. begin reading more of.Book Review: It can't be her first book!

I happened upon Milkrun a few years back, while in the midst of a long bout of sickness. I glanced at the title, saw the cute cover, and thought "Hey. Cool. Another chick-lit book to read in between 10-hour naps."
A few days later, I was a forever Mlynowski fan.
The first few pages were a bit difficult to get into (or perhaps that was the fatigue :D), but by page ten, I was giggling, and by page eleven, I was hooked.
Milkrun speaks to us all, whether we're single, dating, married, or recently dumped. It's a story that all of us have been through to some degree, and it shows that yes, there *is* a light to the end of that tunnel! My heart went out to the heroine as she endured her various trials, I laughed aloud at the odd things that continued happening to her (I spent twenty minutes rolling around on the couch in hysterics over the stalker boy that followed them home and left them a ... gift), and I rejoiced for her at the end.
It's a beautifully written story, and I can only hope more people happen upon Sarah as I did. Milkrun is sure to please (almost) all audiences!
Book Review: my favorite book ever

i read this book right after i'd recently had issues with my own now ex-boyfriend, and i was shocked at how much i could relate. milkrun was probably the first chick lit book i ever read, and it has definitely been the best so far; i have continued to read all of sarah mlynowski's other books, which were also very good, but milkrun is still by far my favorite.Book Review: One Of My Favorites !!
