This is not a diet book - it is a book on eating psychology. Did you know that an average person makes up to 200 food-related decisions PER DAY? Wansink does a superb job of describing subliminal cues that pull us into eating more than we should or eating junk foods. There is no conspiracy theory - food companies are simply out to increase sales, along with everyone else.
After a breathtaking tour of these subliminal cues Wansink offers simple, logical, and easy-to-implement solutions. Nothing extreme or extremist.
And did I say - he is a very good writer, with a fluid, subtle, and faintly humorous style. The book is a pleasure to read.
