Book Reviews of Miss America

Book Review: One of the greatest books in the history of literature.
Summary: 5 Stars

After his first book "Private Parts," it seemed like Howard Stern would never be able to top himself. But with his honesty and humor, he was able to make a good thing even better on his sophomore effort as an author. Though "Miss America," is not for the faint of heart, and probably wouldn't be enjoyed unless you are familiar with his outrageous comedy, it is still a masterpiece in itself. "Miss America" not only is written beautifully, but is full of photographs and artwork that only add to the books mystique. And if there was something that you thought you didn't know about Stern, read "Miss America" and you'll find out a lot more than you ever wanted to know about him. As Stern takes you on his adventures through cybersex, his confidential meeting with Michael Jackson, and his battle with O.C.D. (Obsesive Compulsive Disorder) his brilliance as an author and as a comedian come through loud and clear. And by the end of "Miss America" you'll understand why he has dubbed himself the "King of All Media.

Book Review: Sophmore Stern Proves He's No One Hit Wonder
Summary: 3 Stars

In Stern's second farce about life on the radio, he goes further than himself and describes the on-air personalities that make up his radio show. He touches on guests, politics, his mayoral campaign, private moments and more. Compared to the first book that spawned a movie, this is just a basic sequel. It comes through in humor, but some of the character studies are boring and too long. Let's get on with the lesbians, please. Fans of Stern and fans of hating Stern should unite to enjoy this book.

Book Review: Stern is one funny Jew!
Summary: 4 Stars

Not nearly as hilarious as Private Parts but I still got some laughs out of this. I tend to read a lot of very serious morose stuff but I like to read a book that makes me laugh now and then. Sterns humor is very neurotic and self loathing, at times very juvenile, and very Jewish (obsession with bodily functions, sexual insecurities, childhood traumas and persecution complexs) but I have always thought he was funny. Stern is one funny Jew!

Book Review: The FCC should Ban this book
Summary: 1 Stars

It's next to the worse book I've read yet, "Private Parts," is the worse. My gosh, you'd think with all his money he could write something worth reading except about his ham life; this guy has got to figure out what a plot and theme is, there is none. And just run on sentences going nowhere. He must sell them to his followers, becasue there is nothing of interest in it just talking and talking and talking of the FCC, and how he did this and that, where ever he ends up, he does. It was not a disappointment in that, I figured it would be something along that order, especially after I read the dirty mouth garbage and seen the pictures in "Private Parts."

Book Review: The best book I've ever read, better than Private Parts
Summary: 5 Stars

I just couldn't put this book down. There were no boring chapters, everything I read made me laugh out loud. I hope Howard writes more books
