Book Review: Parallel to Old Testament Falls Short

The topic of angels in Venice, presented on this fascinating book cover immediately grabbed my attention. I was also intrigued by the parallels drawn between this story and the Old Testament book, Tobias. However, although the writer was faithful to the Bible throughout most of this novel, she eventually lost the innocence of the Bible story, paricularly at the end of her book. I will never understand why writers, such as Ms. Vickers insist on sullying such innocence with unnecessary nudity and voyerism.
