Book Reviews of Miss Spider's Tea PartyBook Review: We loved it. Summary: 5 Stars
The illustrations are full color, full-bodied and full page. The verse had a lovely 'sing-song' quality to its rhythm that lulled my son to sleep many times. At age one the pictures kept him entranced. As he got older the insect counting kept him interested until he was old enough to fully understand and enjoy the story. No, spiders don't really behave this way, but then accurate insect behavioural representation is not the issue. The insects in the story finally relinquish their pre-conceived ideas about arachnids and see Miss Spider for what she actually is - kind, generous, forgiving and makes a mighty fine cup of tea. There's a moral in there somewhere. A firm favorite of ours.
Book Review: Wove a Web Around Me Summary: 5 Stars
My daughter and I love this book. The wording is terrific and the paintings are fantastic. She started turning the pages when she was 4 months old as she couldn't wait to find out what happened next with Little Miss Spider. Even at her age she's picky about books. I've been trying to read Eloise to her for days, but no go. However, Miss Spider is always a hit. Fortunately, it's so well written that I don't get tired of reading it time and time again.

Book Review: very colorful and fun for babies under 4 Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this book when my son was a year old and he didnt seem interested in it. He is now 2 and suddenly it has become his favorite book. He likes the bright colors and I think above all he likes the bugs. He recognizes the spider and we have fun trying to find the butterflies in the flower arrangement.
