Book Reviews of Mommy?Book Review: Poor Summary: 2 StarsI purchased this book for my 6 year old grandson. We read the book and looked at the pictures once. He was bored. I thought there would be more of a story. There is none.
I will be donating the book to the library. My grandson wants more interesting books.
Book Review: "Mommy" isn't just for kids! Summary: 5 StarsI bought this as a Christmas present for my wife, who is the head of Women's Studies at ETSU and whose area of expertise is Family communication. We also both love "pop up" books and have the pop up book of Phobias and the one of nightmares as well. When my children were young my two favorite books to read to them were Good Night Moon and Where the Wild Things Are and so it was great fun to buy this book for my very adult, feminist partner. She loves it and so do I
Book Review: Mother Love Summary: 5 StarsI love Maurice Sendak's dark, witty view of the world. I love pop-up books. What's here not to love? I gave a copy of this book to my 40-year-old son for Christmas with a note that said, "Love, Mom."
Book Review: Absolutely beautiful book! Summary: 5 StarsI bought this for my husband for Christmas; he's a huge fan of classic monsters. He really enjoys reading it to our two preschoolers--they love the popups, and he's sharing an interest in (not really scary) monsters. It is a very delicate book, of course, being a pop-up, but for us, it has been a great father-son book to share and enjoy.
Book Review: Mommy? Summary: 5 StarsI bought this pop-up book for an adult friend and a friend's kids-all are thrilled! It's a visual feast for all ages-almost no words, just incredible pop-ups and little doors to find and search. A GEM!
