Book Reviews of Moon Walk

Book Review: A MUST HAVE for every MJ fan!
Summary: 5 Stars

If you've ever wondered about the early years of Michael's life, this book is for you. Written by Mike himself, the book goes into details about his childhood, the way to success with Jackson 5, the beginning of his solo career and the stories behind his famous songs like "Billie Jean". The only bad thing is that it's too short. It made me want more. I hope a follow-up will be written.

Book Review: Moonwalk
Summary: 5 Stars

Moonwalk is incredibly factual and to-the-point. Even the emotional passages are very kind of efficient. Every single sentence is necessary. Of course this is going to be a good thing to some people and bad to others.
The structure of the book is excellent-the way one subject links to another is very good.
There's a mine of information here and despite the briskness, it is a very moving interesting book.

Book Review: Some insight into the mind of an enigma
Summary: 4 Stars

This book was written nearly 20 years old but is well worth reading for any newcomer to Michael Jackson's world - and there are still some of us! It has a very easy, conversational tone and I laughed out loud quite a few times. He has an engaging manner. However, it doesn't go far enough - you feel he skates over a lot of stuff, events, especially with regard to his private life. I'd loved to have heard more. He sounds on much surer ground when discussing the music - right from the early days with his brothers up to Bad.
I would advise anyone who's curious about MJ to read it - but also read J. Randy Taraborelli's book Michael Jackson: The Magic and The Madness, to fill in some of the gaps.
I did feel sad reading Moonwalk. He sounds so sincere, so hopeful in his wish to get married and have "about 13 children". He kind of got what he wanted - but not in the way he hoped. And he couldn't have imagined the trials and traumas that lay ahead.

Book Review: A Fun and Honest Account
Summary: 5 Stars

I've always been a michael fan, so this was a dream to read. i didn't know he could speak about love and drugs in the way that he did! he also talks about not being an angel and having bad habits, it made me day dream what they may be...
i suggest anyone, fan or not, read this. not only is it a completely honest autobiography it is fun and lets you into the eccentric world of the King Of Pop!
