The novel Moonraker took me a few months to read since I lost a little interest some where in the middle of the story, but the beginning and the end are both very interesting. We learn a lot about MI6 and the way things are done towards the beginning of the novel, and we are also introduced to Bond's secretary. The middle of the novel kind of wants to drag and the girl of the story isn't really introduced until the middle of the book. What makes this book stand out to me is the fact that in this novel, Bond doesn't get the girl! That's unheard of when it comes to James Bond, lol, but that is what happens in the story. You will have to read it to see why.
Overall, the story was pretty good. Like I said, it gives good insight into the world of 007 in the beginning chapters, but doesn't really pick up again until the end. I do, however, like this story better than the movie. The two stories are almost completely different. I have read the first three books (including this) and am going to read book four (Diamonds Are Forever) next! With that said, maaayyybe I enjoyed this book a little more than Live and Let Die but that's a touchy subject and it's too hard to say which between the two was better.
