Book Reviews of More Scary Stories To Tell In The DarkBook Review: A Great Read for All Fans of Creepy Stories Summary: 4 StarsThis second Scary Stories book by Alvin Schwartz is almost as good as the first title. The stories are great to read to yourself or young ones. The creepy drawings by Stephen Gammell add so much more detail to each story -- in short they are excellent. In all this book is lots of fun for all ages that are interested in scary stories from folklore.
Book Review: I had a little trouble getting to sleep after reading this! Summary: 4 StarsThe best part of Alvin Schwartz's book was trying to figure out the end of each story before I actually got to the end. Sometimes I got it right and sometimes the story had a twist. The length of the stories are perfect for younger ages of nine or ten but I think older kids would enjoy the book also. The illustrations that go with the stories sometimes made you think a particular story would be scarier than it actually was. Overall I enjoyed the book. It didn't take up a lot of time, I was done with it in one night!
Book Review: this book is great!!!!!! Summary: 5 StarsI think this book is great! It's dumb scary (if you no what i mean).I think this is a great book for kids.
Book Review: Lots of really nifty stories! Summary: 5 StarsDuring a recent Cub Scout campout, I realized that I needed to expand my stock of scary stories. I checked this book out, and it is just perfect! These 28 (if I counted correctly) stories run from the funny to the downright frightening. Some are short and some are long. And, as an added bonus, one of these 28 is actually a song (Ba-Rooom!), and one is a game (A Ghost in the Mirror). This is a great book, with a lot of really nifty stories. I especially like the "gotcha" stories, where you grab someone at the climax of the story. So if you want some scary stories for younger listeners, then I highly recommend that you get this book!
