Book Reviews of Mosaic: Pieces of My Life So FarBook Review: Healing and challenging Summary: 5 Stars As a huge Amy Grant fan, Mosaic was a must-buy for me, and I read it the first day it came in the mail. I was expecting to enjoy the stories behind the songs and learn a little more about this woman whose music has been woven into the tapestry of my life for so long. Certainly the book lived up to my expectations, but what I didn't expect was to be so challenged. Seeing the grace with which Amy lives out her life, the way she has rebuilt her life after the pain of divorce, the fresh ways she seeks out her God and her faith, has challenged me to live my own life with more appreciation of faith and family.
No, the book isn't an autobiography, but I didn't feel she 'left out Gary Chapman.' He is mentioned several times and is included in the photo section as well. From the beginning, Amy has not commented on the details of the separation and divorce for the sake of her family's privacy, and that is still true. I think this is much classier than a tell-all, spill your guts book.
Mosaic is a great book, not only for Amy fans, but for any of us walking through the challenges of life.
Book Review: Inspirational read! Summary: 5 StarsGreat inspiration read for reflecting on everyday experiences. Amy shares her life and faith in a way that allows the reader to reflect on his/her experiences in life and how those experiences have guided him/her to today. Recommend for everyone.

Amy Gran t-- who is she? Songwriter, singer, daughter, wife, mother, author and most importantly a child of God... She is all of these and more. She has lived in the public eye for many years. However, few know the real Amy Grant. Mosaic is an appropriate title for her book for like all of us she is multidimensional.
Her poetry is strewn throughout her book like wild flowers in a country field. (That line is as poetic as I am capable of.) Many of the poems included in Mosaic are songs I cherish. Heirlooms is a particular favorite of mine. "Time never changes the memory the moment His love first pierced through me."
Amy Grant won the heart of many with her voice and songs that spoke of her deep and abiding faith, a faith that she held on to through the trials of life. She later crossed over into pop music. She begins her narrative with memories of vacations with sand, surf, and sunsets. She describes it all so vividly that in my mind's eye I could see her nieces as they shouted with joy from their first view of an ocean sunset. Her stories stirred my emotions. Many brought smiles, some tears. She has included photographs of her family and friends. Amy has opened her heart and memories to fans in Mosaic. Beautifully written, Mosaic proves to readers that Amy Grant is more than a performer. Fans of Amy Grant will cherish Mosaic.
Book Review: Pieces of My Heart Summary: 5 Starsthis book could have easily been titled: "Pieces of My Heart". That's what makes this book so good is that Amy shares her heart. She has always been so genuine and honest. You really see how strong her faith is.
Book Review: Good, a little dissapointing Summary: 3 StarsI'm not a big listener of Amy's music. I was first introduced to her on the show where she granted wishes, she seemed so sincere and down to earth, I liked that about her. When I saw her on the Oprah show promoting her book I decided to read it. Oprah, picked out some of the best stories on the show. There were maybe two more stories that moved me in the book. I was a little disappointed, I guess I just expected something different. It seemed like she held back a lot.
