Book Review: Feel the Warmth of the Indian Sun

Being from India, and having myself lived outside India for several years, I could relate to the observations - the frustration and the bemusement with which this 'foreigner' views and analyses and interprets seemingly innane day-to-day activities going on in this simple household. How what Maya takes for granted is turned upside down (or the right side up) is very insightful. You can see her growing more Indian and more mature almost every day over the couple of months that she spends in India over that summer.

In its details, and its richness of colour, and its innocence, this novel feels like an Indian miniature painting set into prose.

Excellent read - expect to laugh and cry with Maya. You will be touched by its warmth and its radiance - quite like that of the Indian sun.
