Book Review: An Amazing Story of a Life

I love these types of books. Though, I read about Scott Fischer story on a beach in perfect 80 degree weather, while reading the pages filled with his adventures to the summit of Mt. Everest. I could feel his cold bones through the pages while my bones were toasting on the sand. This is a book about the life of an amazing mountaineer of the highest skill set. He was a powerful athlete that accomplished some of the most difficult climbs in the world. He seemed to be a man with a ton of passion that was used to guide his life. His weakness was his administration, but his overwhelming energy seemed to carry the day. For those who might not know of his background, he was guiding clients on Mt. Everest during that terrible day in which many people died in 1996. This is the famous accident that was written about in "Into Thin Air." Fischer was on the mountain, which ultimately claimed his life. If you love adventure books, this is one of my favorites. Scott Fischer was truly "The Man." The only sad aspect of this book is that he did not remain to write more stories in the snows of time.
