Book Reviews of Mouse Paint

Book Review: An Entertaining, Engaging Toddler Book
Summary: 4 Stars

This playful, lucidly-written fantasy about three mice will entertain and amuse young readers while introducing them to a bit of color theory. In the story, three white mice discover three pots of paint on the white paper where they live. They first dive into the paint to color themselves, then splash in paint puddles and discover that primary colors, when combined, make new colors. Finally, they wash themselves clean (in the cat's water bowl) and paint the paper with all the available colors -- except for a section of white where they can hide from the cat.

This story is probably best suited for babies and toddlers, but its humor will also appeal to the kindergarten and early-elementary ages.

Book Review: An adorable book for kids of all ages
Summary: 5 Stars

I originally bought this book when I was a preschool teacher a few years ago. Now my 18 month old son loves to read this book with me, and help find the colors. It has really helped him learn to identify different colors, and he loves to point out the adorable little characters. The illustrations are different from your average children's book, and it has definitely stood the test of time in our house!

Book Review: An adorable story intergrating primary and secondary colors.
Summary: 5 Stars

This is an adventure for three mice! The mice get into mischief, unknowingly demonstrating primary and secondary colors. The illustrator uses beautiful colors and simple backgrounds creating a delightful piece of art. This is a must for children learning primary and secondary colors!

Book Review: Best color book!
Summary: 4 Stars

This is the best "color" book I've ever read. I love that it has an actual storyline, and a clever one at that! The text is perfectly concise, and the illustrations are simple but engaging. My 5-month-old daughter loves it!

Book Review: Good for young kids
Summary: 5 Stars

This is one of my boy's favorite books. Until recently, this was THE one book he'd consistently bring to me to have read. The colors, simple drawings, and pace work well for toddlers.
