Ron & Barb have spent a serious amount of time keeping track of the persons and places they have visited in eight years of retirement. Included between these covers are the large pieces of information that the "guide books" leave out. Here are the real inside stories of adventures both good and unfortunate. Especially the ways to accept, learn from and resolve problems that fall into the unfortunate category. Ron and Barb share so much of their personal life and feelings that the reader knows them as friends even before meeting them in person. The only thing that this book leaves out is one of Barb's warm hugs.Book Review: Best up-to-date published information for a future fulltimer

The real life stories about the good and the bad(a few!)gives you a complete cross section view of the lifestyle. It is a book that you do not want to put down until you are finished and then you will want to reread many sections over and over!Book Review: It makes your dream a reality with ease!

I have "absorbed" both of the Hofmeister's books, and find them to be exceptional in layout of information for the true novice. My husband and I have talked of nothing but fulltiming for the past two years, and it now seems like the dream is going to become a reality by the end of this year. Without the Hofmeister's latest book, we would still be wandering in the depths of unknowing instead of gearing up and preparing to make the leap. There is so much current information that is extremely helpful to a beginner . They have done it all, and are kind enough to have shared with us their knowledge. An excellent read for anyone even thinking of the possibility of becoming a fulltimer. It gives you the good along with a taste of the bad that will happen, and how to cope with it all. I'm so glad the Hofmeister's came along my way and wrote these wonderful books. Thanks for the update, you are allowing us to find our dream!
