Book Reviews of Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You : Dr. Seuss's Book of Wonderful Noises (Bright and Early Board Books)Book Review: Wonderful Noises!! Summary: 5 StarsJordan loves this book. We bought it right before a plane ride and he had a great time reading it and learning the different noises. Now, Jordan can moo, buzz, pop, and klop with the best of them! It's a very fun book that's not too long to read and holds their attention from beginning to end!
Book Review: Great for babies Summary: 5 StarsWe've been reading this to our baby for the past couple of months (he's almost 7 mos. old) and he loves it. It's just the right length and he's captivated by the colorful, cute illustrations and by his parents making silly sounds.
Book Review: Wonderful read! Summary: 5 StarsI bought this book for my 3 month old son, who at the time was a bit young. But now that he is 5 months, he really enjoys looking at the pictures and hearing all of the fun sounds you make when reading. It's very entertaining! It's a book he will love for years.
Book Review: Great for babies, toddlers and parents - funny noises and rhythms! Summary: 5 StarsThis wonderful board book introduces babies and toddlers to the wonderful world of sound and rhythm in a fun and whimsical way. Parents, too, will enjoy making the sounds (will you just say, "moo", or you will really ~try~ to ~sound~ like a cow when you say "moo"? Will you just say, "whisper", or will you ~whisper~ the word "whisper"?).
Children can imitate their parents and can begin the process of pre-reading; seeing the animal (a cow, for instance - or a hand on a door), and "reading" the sound (a moo, or a knock), giving them a great deal of pride in making the noise and "reading" the word.
The benefit of the board book over the hardbound edition is in its brevity. It's the perfect length for the short attention span of a baby or toddler, and as the child reaches preschool age, a parent can switch over to the board book, and introduce more sounds and the more rhythmical, musical text to the child.
Highest recommendation!
Book Review: Best Book Ever for toddlers/babies Summary: 5 StarsI have 4 kids under 3years old and they love the sounds and words in this book. They can look at pictures and learn everyday things. The binding is worn out and I have recently bought new one.
