Book Review: it's a koo koo world...

If you think Frank Sinatra was a God, then this is probably not the book for you, as your illusions may be shattered. If, however, you feel he was a flawed person who got lucky through his connections with you-know-who, then this book will serve to confirm what you already thought. George Jacobs remains very polite to his former employer throughout, whilst managing to let us read between the lines... the starlets, the money, Dean, Sammy, JFK, Bobby K, Ava... they're all in there. Perhaps the most revealing is the stuff on Mr S's relationship with Mia Farrow, not so much from Frank's point of view, but from Mia's... you knew it was a mis-match, but just how much?? Students of the life and times of the Hoboken Nightingale would also do well to check out Shaun Levy's 'Rat Pack Confidential' and the excellent HBO DVD 'The Rat Pack', which confirms everything in this book.
Nicely written, and very readable, but leaves you wanting more more 'dirt'.
