Book Review: "For the Love of a Child

Multiple Blessings by Kate Gosselin was an ok book. I read the book with a wonder of why would any mother would sell her children to the public. I'm sure I am not the first to ask this "why" question either. Reading the book I was amazed at the help that was brought in to help take care of these 6 new babies. I thought its crazy to have six anyway, but then to live in a small home with the new 6 and the previous twins plus all the help is nuts! I could not figure out why she did what she did with making Jon and Kate plus 8 until the end of the book. She explained that she agreed to do the show because with 6 new babies, each one had a different person taking care of them. She missed out on everything their first year. She saw the first smile and laugh with the baby she took care of but missed those things and others with the other 5 babies because they had a different person taking care of them. Each baby had a person to feed, hold, burp, rock and change diapers for them. When the show started it was all filmed and what she missed in real life she got to watch on T.V. What I'm not sure I liked about the book was all of the biblical references. On the show it is different. But, if you are curious like I was it is interesting and I give her and Jon credit for not losing their minds.
