Book Reviews of My Book About MeBook Review: A kid writing about a kid Summary: 5 StarsI gave this book to the 6 year old I babysit. She LOVES to read & write & find out cool new stuff. She was THRILLED with it. Not to mention, she liked reading the one I did for myself over 30 years ago!! We're going to compare them when she's done. I plan to get more copies for her sister and my nieces & nephews. GREAT, FUN book--also wonderful for rainy days!
Book Review: My mom did this for me Summary: 5 StarsWhen I was very young, my mom and I filled out this book together. It was a very fun and memorable experience for the both of us! It is a great way to share cherished childhood memories and experiences. I'm 23 years old and I still have his book!
Book Review: This was my favorite! Summary: 5 StarsThis book was my absolute favorite when I was growing up. I loved filling it out and then my friends would come over and they would fill it out too! Every page was full of stuff! I just wish I still had it so I could look at it now. I have already bought one for my daughter (she is only seven months!) and I bought one for all of my nieces, nephews and friends' kids.
Book Review: All about Me--20 years ago Summary: 5 StarsI'm expecting my first child, and my parents sent me the copy of this book that my brother and I filled out 20 years ago. The best part--he wrote in pencil and I wrote over (in red pen, of course) 4 years later. This book is excellent not only as a keepsake, but also for helping children with counting, exploration, writing stories and self-discovery. In a way that only Dr. Seuss books can, it combines education and fun! Get several--and fill it out each year!
Book Review: Gotta get a second one! Summary: 5 StarsMy older son got this book as a gift several years ago, and my youngest son was reading it this morning and wants one of his own. I'm so glad I found it! It's sort of like a baby book the kids can fill out for themselves. Some of the things the kids fill in are "my hair is ________" and I live in a (city, suburb, town, etc.) And it's all in the wonderful prose of Dr. Seuss. Then they can draw pictures on some pages and color already-drawn pictures on others. I've enjoyed looking back at some of the things my now-eleven-year-old said when he was five! I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to give their young children the opportunity to create a memory book for themselves for their growing up years. It's great!
