My Last Days as Roy Rogers by Pat Cunningham Devoto Summary and Reviews
Book Reviews of My Last Days as Roy RogersBook Review: Persevere, it's not THAT boringI can sum this book up in one sentence. You will take maybe a week reading it, all the time wondering where it is going, and when you finish it will feel like you've just had a brief glimpse into the life of a young girl growing up. Ok, maybe not one sentence. I can't decide whether it is a good book that made me feel good or a dull book that made me feel slighty less bored (or do I just lead a dull life?!). I think it was an attempt at crossing Swallows and Amazons with Too Kill a Mocking Bird. It didn't work. I didn't feel that I new enough about the supporting characters, there didn't seem to be too much of a background to them; they didn't have a past. The book isn't hollow and when I finished it I thought it was strangely rewarding, but I don't think I'll be searching the shelves for more books by this author.
