Book Reviews of My Many Colored Days

Book Review: A book where kids can relate their moods to colors.
Summary: 5 Stars

My Many Colored Days - I feel it's a great book to help children deal with their feelings without expressly saying what the emotion is. Kids may relate better to the colors than the actual moods because they may not understand the emotion and what it means. Instead, they can relate to the actions of the book and the colors the book uses to describe the emotion.

Book Review: A book to cheer your any type of day...
Summary: 5 Stars

"My Many Colored Days" captures the attention of all who read it, whether one is a long-time Suess lover or just a picture fanatic! Steve Johnson and Lou Fancher's paintings bring Suess's words to life. This creative couple was hand-picked by Suess's widow to illustrate the manuscript for "My Many Colored Days", and their work adds a vibrant dimension to already creative words. Bright colors and interesting designs highlight happy, sad or just "blah" days: when a purple dinosaur drags his tail behind him across two pages, readers can feel the weight of the world on their backs. "My Many Colored Days" captures everyday emotions with whimsical words and colors. It is a true Suess classic, coming straight from the artist himself, aided by the creativity of a Minnesota couple and one wise wife who chose the perfect complement for Suess's lackadaisical charms.

Book Review: An excellent book that teaches children about emotions!
Summary: 5 Stars

Happy! Sad. Tired! or Mad? There are so many emotions that we all experience. The book, MY MANY COLORED DAYS, by Dr. Suess describes different emotions and how people react while experiecing a certian emotion. The watercolor pictures along with the simple text makes this a must get book for children of all ages. As a teacher, I have used this book with primary students as well as my 9th graders this year.

Book Review: This is an outstanding book. We love it.
Summary: 5 Stars

"My Many Colored Days" is an outstanding children's book. You can ask my 17 month old by showing her the book and she will start to squeel and clap with excitement. She has memorized certain words from each of the different days. On bright blue days the flaps her arms up and down, on yellow days she goes "wheeeeeee", and on brown days she likes low low "downnnnn". She has two (2) favorite books that we read everyday at least once. This book is one of her two favorites. I highly recommend this book to parents of babies and toddlers. We've had the book since my little girl was 14 months old. Shari Nabors

Book Review: My daughter and I love this book! We've had it for years.
Summary: 5 Stars

We love talking about the colors and the way that you feel on some days and that it is OK to have a purple day or a black day or even a gray day when you don't want to do anything. Because we know that there will also be pink, and orange and yellow days to follow. Sometimes, without the book, we talk about what color day we are having.
