===Complements current moment awareness books perfectly, not just Tolle's.
Jill Bolte Taylor was a driven Harvard neuroanatomist when she suffered a stroke. She describes the stroke in amazing detail, indicating which parts of her brain were impacted and how that manifested itself in her behavior (or inability to act/react). She goes on to describe her rehabilitation process, which took eight years to complete, and how she changed from a driven left-brained scientist to a peaceful whole-brained (allowing much more input from the right than previous) person. If you have suffered a stroke, know someone who has, or even if you just wonder about the differences between the left and right parts of the brain, this book is for you. I would also recommend it for anyone who has read and enjoyed books from the "focus on the now" philosophy espoused by many Buddhist teachers and Eckhart Tolle, among others, as it adds a layer of scientific information to the spiritual dimension of current moment awareness.
