THIS IS A GREAT EXPLORATION OF MEXICAN NARCO CORRIDOS BY A WRITER WHOOSE RESEARCH WAS CONDUCTED BY HITCH HIKING THROUGH nORTHERN mEXICO. His journey takes us with him as he visits the most famous of the Corrido writers and the musical groups of the genre. His first hand narritive moves gracefuly along the landscape south of the border from the western state of Sinaloa up north to the Mexican American communities of Los Angeles California.
This book works both as a history of Narco Corridos and its influences in Mexican society as well as a well written travel journal.
