Book Review: Inspiration in between two covers...
Summary: 5 Stars

I got my copy of this book in the post last week and I'm not disappointed. For anyone who has been to Domai.com and followed the work of the models and photographers showcased there, this book is a nice way to take that experience and move it from your browser to your bookshelf.

Some of the favourites amongst the models are shown , taken from their existing portfolios online and some new material, as well as some new faces not seen before (or yet).

The book is not Erotic. Nor is it Fine Art Nude. Nor is it a naturalist lifestyle book. It is simply natural beauties in nature... No plastic barbie dolls. No lewd expressions. No obscene poses or gestures.

The element that makes so many of the photos so enjoyable is the expressions on the girls' faces. Their smiles. Their laughter. The sense of movement created from hair being thrown back. It conveys a sense of joy and delight and freedom. The sort of experience we all could use, once in a while.

I recommend this book and the accompanying website to male and female alike, hoping that you too will share these experiences.

Book Review: Just simply beautiful
Summary: 5 Stars

Go North and Jack Gilbert have said all there is to say. I wish to add my endorsement.

It is a rare and wonderful thing to have so much pure beauty between a pair of covers.

Book Review: Misleading Title, But Still a Good Collection.
Summary: 4 Stars

This book is a nice collection. It consists of sets of outdoors pictures of professional models. Some of these pictures have also been published in some websites, and the rest are very similar to so many others.

The title mislead me a bit. I was expecting beauties a bit more "natural", I expected pictures that were less retouched, where the magic in the picture is the expertise of the photographer applied at the time of taking the picture, the beauty of the model, but not photoshop. These pics are visibly retouched.

Finally, as with most Goliath, the book is thick and small, so, much detail is lost, particularly on double paged pics, that seems the editor didn't realize they only work on centerfolds.

Book Review: Mixed bag
Summary: 2 Stars

I found the quality of the photography ran the entire gamut from the very amature effort that almost anyone with a point-and-shoot camera could accomplish to some exceptionally professional work. Unfortunately, there was too little of the latter.

I was, however, pleasantly surprized to see tht there was little of an overtly soft-porn mode. It seems that too much of the new "nextdoor beauties" photography is just a thinly-veiled, soft-porn eroticism. Still, there was little that would be considered fine art. But, then again, as the author says, that's not the purpose of the book. Just nice pictures of pretty naked girls. It works.

Book Review: Naked skinny white teenagers
Summary: 2 Stars

The "natural" beauty in this is the artificial current Western ideal - very young, skinny, white, usually with make-up, with natural hair shaved away, placed in the out-doors, acting only moderately seductive. Mid-way between Playboy and a nudist camp for teen girls.

If that's your thing, you may love this book. If you're looking for something more, you should probably pass.
