Book Reviews of Natural Golf Swing

Book Review: Great book!
Summary: 5 Stars

Definately the best golf instruction book I've read. I saw an old Shell's Wonderful Work of Golf in which George Knudson broke the course record (67). I decided to buy his book, and I wasn't disappointed.

Book Review: It works!
Summary: 5 Stars

This golf swing theory is very much the same as Jim Dent's 'Long and Strong' video. Forget the hands and arms and move the weight back and thru and let the swing happen. I did not believe this would work because it felt so easy and had no power but the opposite is true. I added 20 yards to my drives and now hit a 8 iron an easy 155 yards! No effort at all. The slower I swing the further the ball goes! My average drive was 220-225 , now 255-265 with a lazy effort. I broke 80 three times out of five and I only play once a week. YES...buy this book and try to get Jim Dent's video also.

Book Review: Not what I was expecting
Summary: 3 Stars

I bought the book because the title said it was about the Natural Golf Swing. While it was Knudson's definition of Natural Golf, it is really his Conventional Golf swing. This is not about Natural Golf.

That said, I read most of the book anyway, and picked up some good information about the mental part of the game. The writing style caused me confusion, because the author says the same thing over and over. At times, I couldn't tell if I was reading the same thing over, or if I did actually turn the page.

Conventional Golfers should find the information useful.

Book Review: Required reading for the average golfer
Summary: 5 Stars

Actually, I think this should be required reading for all golfers. Over the years, my mind had overflowed with a multitude of swing thoughts on positioning of the hands, wrists, arms, elbows, ad nauseum. But the late Mr. Knudson discovered and revealed that the golf swing doesn't have to be so complicated and in fact shouldn't be. He says that weight shift and body rotation are what should drive the golf swing with the arms and hands remaining passive. The result is a less complicated and more reliable golf swing. He stated that he shot a score of 67 on 18 holes with this method with his eyes closed for all full swings. It may take a while and a lot of practice before the average golfer could perform such a feat, but I've taken Mr. Knudson's tips to the driving range and have seen promising results. Buy the book and work with it. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. By the way, I totally agree with the previous reviewer who recommended this book and also recommended Jim Dent's "How to Be Long and Strong" video. The Jim Dent video essentially presents the same principles as Mr. Knudson's book and I have benefited from it as well.

Book Review: The Natural Golf Swing
Summary: 5 Stars

This truly is the secret to golf. Where has this book been hiding? This is the book golf professionals don't want you to read. You'll never need another lesson after reading and applying Kudson's simple instructions.
It is so easy. I am hitting the ball farther and straighter effortlessly. I went from a low 90's player to a low 80's player immediately. I only purchased the book last month, and I am now applying his theories to the short game and know that I will be dropping more strokes soon.
