Book Review: Misleading Title!

This text was assigned for my introduction to Paul class. As it is advertised as "an introduction" I would have to say this claim is misleading. Bassler operates on a rather high theological level. He assumes that readers have already had a thorough introduction to the theological concepts of Paul and thus simply states over and over the different views of scholars today. The reader is left with a "huh?" feeling after reading each chapter as to which view Paul is really talking about versus what Bassler is talking about. The wording is quite confusing and certainly does not help the already difficult subject matter.
If you are reading this for a class, beware. If you are reading this for fun, then you better be a biblical scholar.
