Book Review: Indian women struggles in modern day India. Summary: 2 StarsThis book although interesting in theory is nothing more than a nonsenseical account of a poor indian women. Boring and confusing, this book even though it seems a short read takes more time and effort that most people wish to give. If you are looking for a fun easy book with an uplifting spirit, try Chicken Soup for the Soul. If you want a depressing story of a women who just can get ahead try this. But check it out, it's not worth the buy.
Book Review: This book forced me to think about the unfairness of life. Summary: 4 StarsI felt a great sadness upon finishing this book. I was not sure whether to cheer for Rukmani or pity her. She worked with what she had, and moved on. She did what she had to do and displayed remarkable strength and dignity. Life handed her more adversity than she deserved and still she persevered. There was no time for regret or compunction because survival took precedence over everything. Her tenacity caused me to look inward at myself, to analyze whether I too possessed this kind of quiet strength. This book brought home to me what women across the world deal with every day. This has affirmed my belief that women are the strongest creatures on earth.
Book Review: Just Awful! Summary: 1 StarsThis is the worst book that I have ever read! The only good thing is that the chapters are short. I can not relate to this book at all, and I would advice others to steer clear from this all around disgraceful book!
Book Review: A great classic book to read Summary: 5 StarsAfter reading this book, I have a better understanding of the struggles people in India go through every day just to survive. It was very sad and a easy classic book to read.
