Book Review: lots of fun anectodes from a great bass player

I love Alvin Gibbs, he's one of my favourite bass players and he's a great dancer on stage - which is what gave him all the right character to tour with the Iguana. Alvin is not as great a writer as a bass player and this book's writing is a little plain, but it is packed of fun rock n roll anectodes about Iggy as well as many other musicians, chicks and some of Alvin's life as the UK Subs bass player. It makes for fun reading, especially if you are into the lesser known characters and times of rock n roll, as the mid-80s is not one of the most reported times of Iggy's career. This is also a honest book and, in case you ever meet the Iguana himself, it will tell you how to please him or how to piss him off - pick your choice.
