At roughly the same time, a man discovers that he is terminally ill and that his dead wife had led a double life. He seeks to use his remaining months to find out more about the circumstances of her death.
Despite the promise, the story is not complex and Abrahams delivers it using a very plain writing style. While all will have sympathy for the man's predicament, the interest level never really peaks, despite a number of coincidences driving the plot along to give it some pace.
In short, an airport read rather than one requiring a great deal of concentration. 7/10
