Book Review: A sad story of the 'american dream'
Summary: 4 Stars
This is very sad. A story of a sad & lonely American man in his 30's who basically orders a mail order bride from the Phillipines. From the start the relationship is based on deception when he tells her he his 8 years younger than his actual age & then concocts a different story to tell people about how they actually met. Throughout this book I did feel a little bit sorry for Jonathan as I believed he did love his wife Michelle, however, his behaviour was totally unacceptable & unrealistic, it was obvious from the start that this girl would have her head turned once she started to live the so called 'American Dream'. This was a very sad book in the way that a devoted loving mother was murdered so coldly & a loving father who acted in the most evil way in the heat of the moment basically lost the right to see their 3 lovely children grow up. Another great book by John Glatt.
