Book Reviews of New Moon (The Twilight Saga, Book 2)

Book Review: Long Winded, Yet Well Worth It
Summary: 3 Stars

Ok, i actually got into the series by reading reviews on Amazon, and they intruiged me, so i thought i'd add my bit :)

I love the series, honestly i do, and although i loved this book i felt that the plight of Bella yearning for Edward at the beginning felt a bit....long winded, i felt that it dragged out just that little bit too much....however, i've realised that the author was actually right in doing that, as we've all been there [i'm there at the moment!] so we could all totally relate....

However, when we did eventually get to the action it was well worth it! And there are some great plotlines.
Life or Death....what will she choose??
Can't wait to read Eclipse!

Book Review: Falling into cliche
Summary: 3 Stars

I read the first story in this sequence, Twilight, quickly and forgave it some of it's excesses for being a first novel but I can't forgive this how some of it needs better editing.

This story continues the story of Bella and Edward, they've had a perfect summer and now Edward decides that he has to leave her and let her get on with a human life. She's decided that she wants to be his mate forever. When he leaves she spirals into deep depression, a state that no-one seems to be able to get her out of. Her father finally manages to snap her somewhat out by threatening to send her to her mother.

And he probably should have, she might have involved psychiatric services instead of her finding another paranormal creature to get involved with, try risky sports and generally behave like a 12 year old with "issues".

I almost abandoned it because the whiny was getting to me but I persevered and it wasn't bad, it just wasn't good enough to make me want to read the next in the series, or even to note it for future reference.

Book Review: Vampires AND Werewolves, Oh My!
Summary: 5 Stars

At first i found this book the worst in the series probably because i prefer Edward and he isnt in the book much but after reading it about three times i began to enjoy it more. My favourite parts of the book are in Italy with the Volturi.

I thoroughly recommend all of the Twilight series books to anyone!!

Book Review: Fantastic book, can;t wait for the next!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I read Twilight and this book in a matter of three days because I found myself being drawn into the world of Bella, feeling the emotions she goes through and the desires she has for her lover Edward and her best friend Jacob. Although i love this book i can't help feeling that Stephenie Meyer allowed the reader to be caught up in the emotions and love that Jacob feels towards Bella and probably ruined the bonds that the reader developes for Edward. His absense during the book left an empty space in Bellas life and it also leaves an empty space in the book. Probably too much of an empty space. The passion becomes lost and although Bella comes round to thinking that maybe she should accept Jacobs feelings towards her and forget about Edward, it just doesn't pack the same punch as Twilight. Then all of a sudden Edward is thrust straight back into the lime light!! I can't help but feel sad for poor Jacob, he loves Bella and she dumps him when Edward returns. I found myself crying along with Bella. When she describes the feeling of her chest being ripped apart with the loss of Edward, as a woman i could relate to her feeling of utter loss. Stephenie Meyer really knows how to pack the emotional punches into a story aswell as the action sequences. I love this book as a whole and can't wait for the next one to be delivered. I'm ordering it straight away from Amazon!!

Book Review: Stick with it!
Summary: 3 Stars

New moon is the second in the series and I have to say that I found the first half of new moon pretty uneventful. I can't say I am that interested in Jacob Black's story to be honest (he's ok but Bella is far more entertaining), the second half of the book however, is really good and Eclipse is again BRILLIANT.

Can't wait for New Dawn (due out at the end of the year) although she said on her website she might change narrators here and there, I hope that it's still Bella.
