This book contains the transcriptions of the eponymous Nickel Creek album, and includes all the music for guitar, violin, bass, mandolin, bouzouki and anything else they used in making the album.
This is an advanced book, meaning that you'll need a fairly decent musical background to understand what is being played. The only exception is that it contains guitar tab, which is curious and frustrating, because what primarily defines NC (sorry Sean!) is the virtuoso mandolin playing by Thile, and it contains no tab for mandolin, only the music notation. Amazon.co.uk doesn't make this clear, and I had to go to other sheet music sites to find out that it contained tab, but they didn't specify for which instrument.
The layout is fairly clear on large pages, but I'd sit down with the album while you're looking at it because there are some pages that don't immediately make themselves clear as to what part you are looking at.
I'm giving this a 4 rather than a 5, which might be unfair because it does contain all the music they play, but I was expecting mandolin tab as well as guitar.
