Book Review: A Truly Excellent Nikon History out of the blue

Most books on the Nikon system have had fairly long gestation periods and I never expected a significant new work on Nikon to suddenly arrive unannounced on the bookshelves. This is a truly excellent history of Nikon Kogaku and the Nikon system that does not set out to be a collector's catalogue and hence is more readable than some of the earlier Nikon publications. The history of the firm itself is fascinating and presented here much more comprehensively than I have seen elsewhere. The author appears to have spared no effort in ensuring authenticity and accuracy of detail. All significant Nikon photographic products receive thorough mention in the book and the quality of the printing and illustrations is superb plus. A "must have" for any Nikon aficianado or camera collector, or anyone interested in fine photography books.
