Book Reviews of Nine Inch Nails

Book Review: Good summary of existing interviews & articles
Summary: 4 Stars

Huxley has managed to weed through the dozens of articles and interviews written on NIN and weave them all together to form a coherent history of the band (i.e. Trent Reznor). Although at times falling prey to the use of big words when smaller ones would suffice, he has written a coherent and interesting book that details at least what Trent Reznor wants us to know of him... A very entertaining read.

Book Review: Great, but could have been written better
Summary: 4 Stars

Like what's been said, this is mainly a collection of interviews, but on the other hand it has different parts. The first part is sort of his life in Cleveland, and when he was in Option 30 and Exotic Birds. I didn't hear about the others as much. Then it gets into the part whenever he tours with Skinny Puppy, and spends time in UK. Then later, his not-so-good relationship with TVT, and Steve Gottlieb is one thing to mention on this. It also spoke about the PHM-era, and it talked mainly about the touring. It also had stuff on the Broken-era and then shortly after, TDS-era. In this one it has a lot. It even has reviews for it, about when he lived in "le pig", NOthing bands, etc. A must for a NINnie.

Book Review: I wish it had more about Trent
Summary: 5 Stars

This book was pretty good.Kinda A short read though. Most of the interviews on here were pretty good and there was some information about Trent being that he is A very private person.I guess I was just expecting to learn alot more about him.

Book Review: Interesting book
Summary: 4 Stars

This shows some awesome stuff about NIN. Some stuff's interesting if you wanna know about him, or know him. One of his College girlfriends talks about whenever he was in Option Thirty. Obviously this was in the 80s. Also, it has many things about interviews from magazines and stuff also his grandfather says. There'll be things you don't know now that you will find out about NIN. It's mainly JUST about Trent. But after all, isn't he what kept NIN NIN. Come get it.

Also, for music, I'm gonna get the tapeworm album when it comes out.

P.S: I haven't told you everything 'cuz it's too cool to give it away before your chance of reading this.

Book Review: Interesting book
Summary: 4 Stars

I've not listened to much NIN before. They / he started getting popular when I was in college but I didn't have any albums until recently - I just bought 'The Downward Spiral.' I'm not a huge fan but I thought this book was interesting just because it tells about how Reznor became successful and how he approaches music, etc. It doesn't bash him or portray him as perfect either, which I like.
