Book Reviews of No Biting!

Book Review: Excellent!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this book for my son when he began biting when he was one. He is now two and he still loves it. He can recite the book to me and even "reads" it to himself. The flap pages are fun and different from the other books he has and it seems to be age appropriate in that it is not so complicated to lose his attention. We read the book together to learn improper behaviors and when he was bit by his cousin afew weeeks ago, he said "NO biting", just like the book taught him. I would recomend this book to parents trying to replace incorrect behaviors with the appropriate behavior. (Bite apples, not your friends). I love this book and think it is a great addition to my son's library.

Book Review: Great Book for Toddlers who BITE!!!
Summary: 4 Stars

After reading this book over and over again, my son finally got the point not to freakin BITE!!! The only downfall is that the pages rip out easily :(

Book Review: Great for toddlers
Summary: 5 Stars

I was talking with a parent of a two-year old with a biting problem just now, and remembered how great this book was for my daughter when she was going through the same phase. It's really entertaining, the pictures are cute, and the message got through.

The only slight problem is the temptation for more trouble-making parents to answer questions like "Don't Hit Mummy! What can you hit?" with "Your *father*!".

Book Review: Great help for parents and teachers too!
Summary: 5 Stars

We provide assistance to Child Care providers who are including young children who are developing differently. When children don't have much language to express their feelings, wants and needs, they often use their body to communicate. Biting is one of those behaviors that children, especially toddlers use to communicate. Although it's not a socially appropriate behavior, its often expected when we have little ones with language challenges. This book is useful in helping children understand that biting hurts and is not "ok". It's easy for teachers (and parents) to use and children get the message quickly when they have repeated access to this type of social teaching.
